Juniata River paddle September 20, 2013 Juniata River "kayaking" It was a beautiful day on the Blue Juniata! I paddled the Juniata River at Ken's Beach today. I went close to a mile upstream. The water level was about 3.3 feet at Newport. The paddle took about 2 hours. The water temperature was about 70 degrees. I got up to the second small ledge. It was too low to go any farther. The big ledges were about a half mile beyond were I was.
