Juniata River trip June 19, 2013 Juniata River "kayaking" It was a beautiful day on the Blue Juniata! I paddled the Juniata River at Ken's Beach today. I went close to a mile upstream. The water level was about 4.1 feet at Newport. The paddle took about 1.5 hours. The water temperature was about 72 degrees. There are 3 small ledges before the big ledges. I got up to the second small ledge and saw some Bald Eagles. The big ledges were about a half mile beyond were I was. I didn't get any good Eagle pictures.
