Juniata River paddle June 12, 2011 Juniata River "kayaking" It was a beautiful day on the Blue Juniata! The water level was about 4.5 feet at Newport. I decided to see if I could do any kayaking. I went to Ken’s Beach. I paddled about a quarter mile upstream. I think I could manage a nice easy float with good paved ramps. I got my new launch sticker. As slow and weak as I am now few people would want to go on a river trip with me so I guess I am pretty much on my own this year. I probably won’t get out much.
