Juniata River trip July 1, 2010

Juniata River "kayaking"

It was a beautiful day on the Blue Juniata! Shelba, Luke and Jim paddled from Howe Park to Ken's Beach today. The water level was about 3.55 feet at Newport. The trip took about 4 hours. The water temperature was about 25 degrees celsius. We saw some Bald Eagles. The Eagle in the picture was sitting in the Eagle tree before that picture.
