Juniata River - Class I - Date: Wednesday, June 18, 2008 Juniata River "kayaking" It was a beautiful day on the Blue Juniata! Luke and Jim paddled from Howe Park to Ken's Beach today. We saw a pair of Bald Eagles at Iroquois Falls. We watched one dive down and grab a fish. The water level was about 3.85 feet at Newport. The trip took about 3.5 hours. The water temperature was about 21 degrees celsius. This was about a 7 mile paddle.
