Juniata River - Class I - Date: Saturday, May 24, 2008 Juniata River "kayaking" It was a beautiful day on the Blue Juniata! Carol, Maureen, Karen, Scott and Jim paddled from Greenwood boat access to Ken's Beach today. The water level was about 6.2 feet at Newport. The trip took about 4.5 hours. The water was an icy 59 degrees. We stopped for lunch at Howe park and had a brief stop at Poorman’s Spring. This was about a 12 mile paddle.
