June 23, 2007 Juniata River "kayaking" There were no river trips going on and I could not find anyone to paddle with so I paddled two miles upstream no the Juniata from the Mifflintown Boat access to the Lewistown Narrows The water level was about 3.7 feet at Newport. It was about 2.5 hours. This is a very senic area. I would like to do a shuttle trip from Lewistown to Mifflintown, but so far I can't find anyone interested in such a trip.
